The BWW Pure V-HD with Shimano Alivio disc mountain bike wheel set is both V-brake and 6-bolt disc compatible. The Pure V-HD rim has a 24mm wide inner, with thick sidewalls to boot. Perfect for cruising along at the beach, to the local convenience store, or jumping off your neighbor's roof; your choice really, just don't hurt yourself. The Pure V-HD rim's sidewalls are rim brake compatible, but they are anodized black, so the rim has a solid black appearance.
These wheels are built with 36 spokes front and rear laced three cross, using DT Swiss black stainless steel spokes, (14g = 2.0mm), and brass chrome plated nipples.
Shimano Alivio hubs are 6-bolt disc compatible. Given that the rim is rim brake compatible, these wheels will work with bikes that have either disc brakes or rim brakes, or both if that's your thing. All rear hubs are compatible with Shimano MTB 8/9/10/11 speed cassettes.
