Blackset Race wheels are our number one, best-selling wheel set of all time, and it’s no mystery why. Built from start to finish with top quality, light weight rims, hubs, spokes and nipples, using more spokes than many other competitive wheel sets, they’re still lighter, faster, and more durable than most other options out there. When we began prototyping and test riding them in the fall of 2006, we knew they were going to be a hit. At that time however, we didn't know just how phenomenal they were. Open Pro's were still used to compare other rims/wheels against, and the market place was still somewhat limited in scope. Since that time, much has changed in the road wheels segment. But if you still need a high performance, durable road wheel set, these are going to be one of your best bets. To this day, the Blackset Race 24 is still one of the best riding aluminum alloy road wheel sets around, and represents one of the best non-carbon values in the marketplace.
Available with a Shimano 8/9/10 spd, Shimano Road 11 speed, or a Campagnolo 9/10/11 speed freehub.
You can select your wheel set with Black ano (415g/ea), Blue ano (415g/ea), or White powder coated (430g/ea) Blackset Race 24 rims. All options use the classic Blackset Race 24 alloy clincher road rim, with a 24mm tall, 19mm outer, 15mm inner profile.
These wheels are built with top quality DT Swiss double butted black stainless spokes, and silver alloy nipples, laced to one of the best road hub sets that doesn't say Dura-Ace that we've ever built with.
More Wheel Facts:
-Blackset Race 24 clincher rims are 24mm tall, with a 15mm inner, 19mm outer width, and weigh approx. 415g/ea. These require inner tubes, and will not work with tubeless ready tires.
-Compatible with a wide range of tires, 700 x 20c - 32c will all work.
-The wheels are built with internal stainless steel washers
-Wheel set weights may vary slightly, but for reference:
Black ano - Front (620g) / Rear (815g) = 1435g
White Powder Coat - Front (635g) / Rear (830g) = 1465g
Blue Ano - Front (620g) / Rear (815g) = 1435g
-The Blue Ano in real life is not quite as "purple" as in the photo on the site.
