Pure XM’s are similar in fit and function to heavy duty Shimano MTB 6-bolt offerings, but wrapped in a light weight sealed bearing hub shell design.
Description
Pure XM’s are a quality sealed bearing solution alternate to venerable Shimano Deore’s or XT 6-bolt hubs. The internal freehub ratchet engagement is of a comparable design as those aforementioned favorites, but without the heavier loose ball, cup + cone bearing/axle system. The Pure XM’s simply the axle and bearing arrangement to make use of high quality, free spinning sealed cartridge bearings and thus shave a fair amount of hub weight off, about 140g’s worth, or almost an entire front hub’s worth of weight savings.
